Program Overview

The duties of a system administrator are wide-ranging and vary widely from one organization to another. System Administrators are usually charged with installing, supporting and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems.

Other duties may include scripting or light programming, project management for systems-related projects, supervising or training computer operators, and being the consultant for computer problems beyond the knowledge of technical support staff.

With our affiliation with Microsoft as a Microsoft Action Partner (MAP) and industry trained instructors with decades of industry experience, our 39-week diploma is based on Microsoft’s certification* pathway.

Students gain an understanding of Network Administration, Installing, configuring and managing Windows Server, Building Scalable CISCO Internetworks, configuring Windows Server Active Directory, thus paving a strong foundation to pace their career as a Systems Administrator.

Course Outline

Configuring Windows Server Active Directory: Focusing on Active Directory in Windows Server, this course covers configuring, managing and supporting user and computer accounts, groups, Domain Name System zones and client settings; group policy objects; the New Active Directory Lightweight Directory Service and Active Directory Rights Management Service; backup and recovery, and communication security.

CCNA: This course focuses on providing the skills and knowledge necessary to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small branch office Enterprise network, including configuring a switch, a router, connecting to a WAN and implementing network security.

Configuring Windows Server Network Infrastructure: This course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to configure and troubleshoot a Windows Server network infrastructure. Students will learn to implement and configure secure network access and implement fault tolerant storage technologies.

Windows Server – Enterprise Administration: In this course, students will learn to Design Active Directory Networks, Configure Certificate Services, Utilize high availability Tools. This course is aligned to equip students to demonstrate their skills in Windows infrastructure design and their readiness to excel in working with Windows Server environment.

Windows Server – Server Administration: This course develops knowledge and skills for Windows Server administrators to manage the infrastructure, Web, and IT application servers.

Install, configure and Manage Exchange 2010: The course will provide the students with the knowledge and skills to configure and manage an Exchange Server messaging environment. Students would also learn how to configure Exchange Server, as well as provide guidelines, best practices, and considerations that will help them optimize Exchange Server deployment.

Building Scalable CISCO Internetworks (BSCI): The course contains classroom modules and lab exercises. Hands-on lab exercises allow the student to practice configuration and troubleshooting knowledge and to acquire skills necessary to configure CISCO routers in customer networks. Upon completion, student would be able to select and implement the appropriate CISCO IOS services required to build a scalable, routed network.
